NHSDA Leadership, Artistic Merit, and Academic Achievement Award Adjudicator Application

Assist NDEO and NHSDA, by being a member of the adjudication committee for the NHSDA Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award (also known as the NHSDA Award) for high school juniors or seniors who have been inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA). This prestigious award will grant one student, The National Winner, a $1000 scholarship and three student Finalists, a $250 scholarship each. To apply for this award, students will submit two short essays, a three-minute video of original solo choreography, a recommendation form from the sponsor, and their resume. Members interested in volunteering for the adjudication committee should be able to commit 10-15 hours from the middle of February through the beginning of May, 2026 to independently review applications. Training materials will be sent to all accepted adjudicators prior to their assigned round. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in NDEO whether you have recently joined or have been an active member for many years.

You must be a current member of NDEO to adjudicate. Please do not apply if you are teaching or mentoring students who may apply or have applied for the award or have any other conflict of interest.
